We sent the news recently about the two young horses in which we have an interest through Highclere Thoroughbred Racing. The good news is that they have both left Highclere Stud and have been sent to their trainers.
The filly has been named Forgive and is trained by Richard Hannon at East Everleigh stables near Marlborough and the colt has been named Mossbrae and is trained by Michael Jarvis at Newmarket.
Sonia and I will be arranging to see the horses in their new stables in the near future and we will then be in a position to invite interested people to join us at future events. If anyone would like to be involved, please do let us know. In any event, you may wish to keep an eye on them once they start racing.
It is likely that Forgive will be ready to run in June or July and Mossbrae, who is a big horse, should be ready from September onwards.
For those in the know, Highclere Thoroughbred Racing’s Harbinger who was named by the press as the best race horse in the world, and who broke his leg, has now been sold to stud in Japan. This week’s Horse and Hound has a two page spread about Highclere Stud and Highclere Thoroughbred Racing.
