Staff Additions

As part of working towards the Retail Distribution Review and the further development of our company we have recruited two more university graduates, Alasdair Maspero and Mathew Bonney. Both have qualified in business studies and the plan is to fast track them through to Diploma level and beyond. To enable Mat and Ali to apply themselves more fully on client work, we have also recruited a general administrater, Hannah Turley. John Youngman, who has now completed 20 years with our company and is partially retired, works on internal accounts and is also retained by some clients to help with their annual tax returns and book keeping.

Further, I am engaging associates for the company who are experts in their fields such as pensions, employee benefits, tax, inheritance, trusts, corporate law, etc. who we can call upon to add to our already impressive bank of expertise. I believe that many advisers will leave the industry with the demise of commissions but I feel that we are very well positioned and I see it as a chance to capitalise on my long held belief that knowledge, time and care spent, will enable us all to prosper. Fee charging is a much clearer way for all to live with and that is why I started doing it, against the flow, more than ten years ago.

Marc Sullivan, who had nearly completed his three year training programme, has taken up a role with a national group and will be leaving us on 11th August. While it is sad to see him go, I am pleased to see yet another success story in the development of my graduates through to being fully qualified members of modern financial services.
